Visit one of our bustling main streets, teeming with independent shops, natural landscaping and one of the Midwest’s most daring collections of public art
Whatever you’re craving in an urban getaway, we’ve got you covered. And whether you’re arriving by car, bus or your own pedal power, getting here is a breeze.
By car: Despite the small town feel in North Shore Collinwood, we’ve got big city connections. We’re situated just to the north of Interstate 90. Heading eastbound (from downtown Cleveland or University Circle, for instance), you’re just minutes from the Waterloo Arts & Entertainment District, using either the East 140th / East 152nd Exit (Exit 180) or the East 156th Exit (Exit 181), and the East 185th corridor is equally easy; just use the East 185th / East 200th exit (Exit 182). Coming from the west – from the wineries of Lake County, for instance? We’ve got easy access for you, too. To hit up the East 185th corridor, once again, just use the East 185th / East 200th exit (Exit 182). And for Waterloo, get off on the East 156th Exit (exit 181), turn right at the stop sign, and you’ll be right in the heart of the district. It’s just that easy.
By public transit: For those that want to ditch the car in favor of public transit, we’ve got a slew of options for you, connecting you everywhere from downtown Cleveland to University Circle to the eastern suburbs.
The #30, East 140 – Lakeshore (Weekday and Weekend Service). A reliable option for those looking to get to North Shore Collinwood from South Collinwood, East Cleveland or University Circle. The route runs from the Stokes-Windermere train station up through the western part of North Shore Collinwood before winding down Lakeshore Boulevard toward the city of Euclid.
The #34 East 200 – Green (Weekday Service). A solid option for those looking to get to or from Euclid Hospital, with a route that connects visitors to several eastern suburbs – and to Green Line trains.
The #37 East 185 – Taylor (Weekday and Weekend Service). This route is all about Cleveland train routes, with service between Cleveland Heights and the 185th Street corridor to – and connections to the Red Line, Green Line and Blue Line along the way.
The #39, Lakeshore (Weekday Service). Fast and frequent service between downtown, North Shore Collinwood and on to Willowick. As a bonus, you’ll get to see the lakefront and the mansions of Bratenahl along the way. It’s also gives you easy access to Waterloo, lakefront parks and the East 185th corridor.
The #39F (Peak Hours, Weekday Service). An even faster version of the #39 route. You’ll miss out on Bratenahl and Waterloo, but if you’re trying to get to the East 185th corridor in a jiffy, this is probably the route for you.
The #94, East 260 – Richmond (Weekday Service). A route that connects North Shore Collinwood to premiere shopping in the eastern suburbs. The route runs between Highland Hills and Euclid Hospital in North Shore Collinwood, with stops at Cuyahoga Community College’s Eastern Campus, Beachwood Place, Legacy Village and Richmond Town Square.
By Bike: Shrink your waist and carbon footprint even more by ditching motors for pedal power. Cyclists will find a range of options for biking to and from North Shore Collinwood – including the Cleveland Lakefront Bikeway. This 17-mile route runs the length of our neighborhood and on to Bratenahl, Glenville, St. Clair Superior, downtown, Ohio City, Detroit-Shoreway, all the way to the Gold Coast … with spectacular Lake Erie views throughout.
